My name is Mikaela and I am a paramedic living and working in Vermont. I started my career in EMS in the summer of 2015 as an EMT and enrolled in a paramedic program in the fall of 2017. My other main passion is music- I actually have a degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music!

When I starting working as a first responder, I found myself wanting customized, specialized materials that I couldn’t find anywhee. So, I decided to make them myself! The first of these inventions was the Run Card, and it grew from there. I also created some educational materials for myself, such as the Cardiac Cheat Sheet, when I was in my paramedic program. I wanted to organize the information in a straightforward, condensed way and was pleasantly surprised when my fellow classmates all wanted copies!

I feel like this one is pretty self-explanatory: I am proud to be both a nerd and a medic! I got a reputation in my paramedic program as being a pretty big nerd and I decided to embrace it!
